															2024 Show: Jekyll and Hyde
The Souderton Big Red Marching Band’s 2024 field show, Jekyll and Hyde, explores the theme of duality — the tension between light and dark, good and evil. The performance features a powerful musical journey beginning with Verdi’s Requiem (“Dies Irae”), moving through John Carpenter’s Unkillable from Halloween Kills, and Howard Shore’s haunting Hope Fails from The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. The show builds to a dramatic conclusion with the fifth movement of Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique, as good and evil collide in an intense and emotional finale.
Under the direction of Alicia Simpson, with drum majors Giana Joyce and Liam Lowden, musical design by Zac Cairns, visual design by Ian Flint, and color guard direction by Heather Fisher, assisted by Kate Kratz and Danielle Fiumano, the Big Red Marching Band and Color Guard bring this story of inner conflict and transformation vividly to life on the field.
2025 Show: Cry
The Souderton Area High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble’s 2025 production, Cry, tells a powerful story of loss, struggle, and resilience. The performance follows two hikers as they navigate moments of despair and hope, portrayed through expressive movement, dynamic soundscapes, and emotional intensity. With intricate percussion writing and immersive visual design, the show captures the raw power of the human spirit as it endures hardship and searches for light in the darkness.
Under the direction of Sean Rogan, the Souderton Indoor Percussion Ensemble brings this story to life with precision, passion, and purpose — delivering an unforgettable experience that echoes long after the final note.
